The British Council is constantly supporting emergent talent of different artistic disciplines, among them music. The experimental music festival El Nicho celebrates sound arts from a new and different perspective.
Devoted to foster appreciation and popularization of new and experimental music through concerts, El Niche offers a series of presentations, talks and workshops. With its annual festival, its sessions and editorial projects, it aims to promote innovative music, combining and reconciling different genres and contexts in order to widen the spectrum of contemporary culture through sound.
The United Kingdom presence in this festival was very important, with the participation of artists such as Mike Cooper, John Leafcutter, John Hegre, Greg Pope and Mazen Kerbaj.
