The Selector Pro is a global initiative by the British Council that supports the development of skills and abilities in the contemporary music industry. In the Americas, the programme takes place in Argentina, Colombia and Cuba and, in Mexico, it will be delivered in collaboration with IBERO 909 and Alqimia.
The programme is made up of live presentations, panel discussions and workshops focused on emerging local talent, with an emphasis on aspiring and young professionals interested in starting a career as producers, creators or as music journalists.
The Selector Pro originates from the well-known radio programme The Selector, broadcast in Mexico by IBERO 909, which has positioned itself worldwide as the biggest showcase of contemporary music talent in the UK, covering various genres ranging from indie to house.
