Pat Grounds holds a BA in German with Russian, MA in Applied Linguistics, Ph.D. in Language studies, and has taken many other professional development courses over the years. She has worked in EFL/ TEFL since the 70s and has specialized in continuous professional training/ development projects for the British Council and many other higher education institutions in Mexico, UK, and elsewhere. Pat believes that we teachers are, by nature, researchers, since we are constantly gathering data on our learners, as individuals and as groups, in order to find the best ways to support their learning. She hopes that this little talk will encourage more people to share the valuable work they are doing day by day with their learners and share their new knowledge and understanding through the BBELT Teacher Research Special Interest Group.
