Ellipsis is our main literature programme, which aims to provide new opportunities for emerging writers and editors in Mexico. The project was started in Colombia in 2015 and is being implemented for the first time in Mexico in 2018 in collaboration with Hay Festival.
Annually, a group of Mexican university students aspiring to become writers and editors will be identified via an open call. The selected students will participate in professional mentoring sessions with renowned English-language writers, in sessions taking place during various literary events as part of Hay Festival Mexico, in Queretaro. In addition, programme participants receive the support of Mexican writers and editors for the development of their first editorial work. The process of creative collaboration culminates with a printed publication, which will be available for free in digital version.
