What do you love most about working here?

The way people enjoy what they do. The British Council offers excellent values that are applicable in our daily life, and the opportunity of helping others in different ways. I love being part of an international organization in which its staff members feel committed to what they are doing.

Why would you recommend other people to join this organization?

The British Council will allow you to get involved in different areas and projects as much as you wish.  It provides you with tools that can help you become a better human being and professional at the same time, and it will not only offer you life-changing experiences, but it will allow you to offer them to your customers as well.

What do you think is our company's biggest strength that we should be focusing on?

Our internationalization. Being able to share our mission in various countries by mainstreaming our processes as much as possible, transmitting the same message of equality, being sensitive about our cultural differences, preparing ourselves to become experts in what we do, and helping others to identify us as an engaging organization, no matter where we are.

What three words would you use to describe our BC culture?

Enriching, inclusive and innovative.

What impact has the British Council had in your career?

It has had a profound one. Once I finished University, The British Council was the organization that marked the beginning of my professional career. It has allowed me to support different Teams (first Customer Service, then Human Resources, and now Teaching Centre), to develop my abilities in different subjects (Legal, Migratory, Administrative, Financial, HR, etc.), and to learn from my colleagues.

What motivates you to go above and beyond at work?

Enjoying what I do always works as an inspirational factor in wanting to do things the best way possible. What really motivates me to deliver my best work is knowing that the multidisciplinary activities I do have an impact on others’ jobs and lives. I know that my efforts are added to other people’s efforts and that our results go beyond our teams, and even our own countries.
